Although TJSS (the author) entirely forgot about his elements sects but Iām glad the donghua didnāt. Love the elements sects but why does it seem like their fights look way more glorious than Shrekās?!! In the novel, Shreks and TS are the highlights. I thought it was TS who flattened the dragon sect and its leader the dragon Douluo with his trident? Please donāt tell me they give his credit away to someone else AGAIN!! š” Because that was the reason why TS has to go to Jialing Pass to retrieve his trident and thatās how he gives
Production Studio, donāt you dare take that away!! I swear Iāll decimate your studio in Shanghai on behalf of TS!! šæ
Yeah the Sacred Dragon Sect TD was taken out by TS with his right arm bone (Thunderclap) in one shot. Tbh, while there are a few scenes remaining that I am eagerly anticipating, the remaining chapters felt so rushed, full of inconsistencies, and logically frustrating,..that I find myself caring less and less how the donghua adapts it LOL. I figure if they're gonna nerf TS and Shrek, may as well use the Elements Sects to kick some SH ass š¤£. But looking at the trailer it appears they're sticking to the script
Youāre right! Thereās no point getting frustrated since all youāll get is their twisted version. Like you said, they changed so many things, I canāt even remember the sequences or events in the novel anymore.
Maybe I just had such high hopes after watching Fanren where they barely stick to the novel and the end result is unbelievable: that studio made a pathetic MC look relatable and likeable, and it feels so satisfying watching him coming on top of the situation every time through his craft and ācowardiceā.
I know many other fans cannot fathom why I overreact and of course I donāt expect them to. For me, the novel despite its many failings, it has one thing that got me hooked: the MC Tang San. Heās written (most of the time) as a genius tactician, one who could visualise the opponentās every move. Most of the battle scenes were crafted meticulously by the author. That was why I went on reading the sequels hoping to find a closure for Tang San, at the same time, perhaps I was eager to find the kind of triumphant feelings that TS gives me in most of his fights. Like a junkie, I just crave for those small satisfactions. Pity, such moments are few and far between in the donghua now.
I don't think it's an overreaction at all. Even the comments & declining participation here on gogo is evidence to me that people are losing interest/becoming frustrated. For some it's the hit & miss(overwhelmingly this post-SG Island) adaption decisions; for others it's the inherent inanities that plague the novel itself and which become more obvious in the last quarter. I find myself a mix of both depending on the ep, but leaning more towards the latter currently. For me the story was at its apex during Tang Sect formation, and while there are many good scenes post SG-Island, the combo of the above (two) factors are conspiring to suck the soul from SL. So many of my favorite scenes were either omitted or adapted/storyboarded in ways I never envisioned. Fortunately (or unfortunately?) my expectations are so low now that I can comfortably continue it without wanting to throw my monitor on the floor every week š¤£
I didn't read read the novel but that's the same expectations I had for TS, using his Control Branch skills, being 3 steps ahead, being the definition of Counter Attack. But alas first he stopped using Poison, then stopped using the Spider and soul bone, and now I'm slowly losing interest in him returning to the Island to finish his 8 test
For me, while understandable that the battle will be prolonged but it is a pity that each of the different elemental teams had so little screentime while that stupid Grand Marshall sitting on the tiger that does absolutely nothing but use his fingers that picks his nose does all the pointing out the obvious while his army dies, has more for just commentating what is going on. I can understand Grandmaster for not getting involved since he is a strategist but really that Grand Marshall is as useful as boobs on a jellyfish
And another note, I believe that the story changed from Xuebeng ordering the charge
The both of them are driving me nuts lol. Their stratagem discussions explain little and are getting cheesier every time lol. GM should have come in his pajamas ffs.
I dunno, I felt like the ice element team came to have fun since they were just ice skating around. I liked the combo's used by the other elemental teams though especially the 3 aoe combo skills of wind to trap them, lightening to hold them in place and then that giant fireball to nuke them. It reminded me of my mmo days when I used to run statics when I saw that combo.
Sigh... Another filler episode, more soldiers dying again...
Lmao. Sucks to be a soldier in SL.
Mhm studio can probably spit out episodes of soldiers dying until soul land 2 comes out.
You blind? you sir should rewatch the entire episode, the battle wont be over yet, there are plenty stuff yet to be seen.
This whole episode never happened in the storyline. Before you start calling someone blind, you should recheck your opinion first. The last three episodes are pretty much the same, a very prolonged battle.
Lol yes sir you are, why? Haven't you realize that this wont be going the same as the manga right? Come on, this been going around since a while ago even said by many pple in here that they been changing the plot and several things and ofcourse they will not just make everything in just one episode so that's why they've been prolonging the story.
The tiger general wants to take the credit so he's going after the fight is almost over...
I wonderā¦ when will TS father shoes up, Iām getting bored at this pointš«
Tang san's asura mode won't happen soon ?
Tang San Asura mode only activated after he died battling 2 level 100 and then revived to be equipped with Asura God Mode

Eh, decent episode.
Hell yah this episode was awesome. But they taking Bibi dongs bait to retreat and lure them in to turn the tide.
This episode just gave me some serious chills!
It was exiting to see the elemental guys joining the battle, what can i say this gets better and worth every week, thanks very much to the animation studio for continuing the amazing work in visuals, can't wait for next week!
I will give her that last attempt to flee. But the damages has succeeded.
Idk maybe in LN xiao was injured but here she was barely touched by light and didn't got hit.
XD
Damn and I thought last week was action packed LOL.
Two words: Elements Sect! So awesome seeing TS's former competitors now a band of brothers in war. It's great that production is giving us a macro view of the battle rather than just TS/Shrek vs SH/Bibi--every major character got a scene here (save the Golden Triangle) and I LOVED it. Their adaption of the war is much better than what I was expecting. Gotta say though..I'm growing impatient with the General--dude either get in the fight or shut your trap already š¤£
